Wrapping over 32 stitches 1 row 1 left on double bed MW 2 ../ 2 ..

Knit 20 rows in a rib pattern

Transfer stitches to embeddle, work size 6, 1 row

Lower double bed, remove KR weights and comb, hang up 2 KH weights,

Take off half of the stitches with the comb and put them on the double bed

Set circular knitting MW 6/5 .. and 12 rows (= 6 rounds)

Lower the double bed again, attach the single-bed scraper

Knit heel with shortened rows until 10 needles remain in the middle

(i.e. needle return on H, always knit outer needle in E, 1 row on the slide side, outer needle in E etc.)

then extended rows

(push inner E-needle into D on the carriage side, knit 1 row, etc.)

until only the outermost two needles are still in E, then needle return to N and knit a row to double bed

Hang cross threads of the edge stitches from the single bed to the double bed

Set circular knitting and knit 24 rows (= 12 rounds)

Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the bed with a double decker needle

Knit 4 rows (2 rounds)

again decrease 1 stitch on each side with 2 decker needles on each bed

Knit 4 rows (2 rounds)

Decrease 2 stitches on each side of the bed with double decker needles

Knit 2 rows (1 round)

again with 2 decker needles on each bed, decrease 2 stitches on both sides

Knit 2 rows (1 round)

Cast off the remaining stitches with contrasting wool and sew together in the stitch

(or crochet long stitches or pull thread)
